GREAT SUPPORT FROM GRAND MANAN:   The foggy southwest wind didn't dampen the spirits or the generosity of the neighbours
and friends who showed up to our food sale on Saturday September 21, 2013. Open hearts with open wallets,
the sale lasted all of 20 minutes and over $1400 was raised!
Norma Neves, keeper of the gate (garage door)
allowed no one to enter until sharp noon. The tables were laden with goodies cooked by friends and family.
Bread, rolls, cookies, cakes, lobster rolls and bowls of piping hot chilli - none of which were priced!   A donation jar quickly filled with money.

SHOPPERS DRUG MART - TREE OF LIFE

'Thank you' to the Shoppers Drug Mart and their customers for raising $1334
through the Tree of Life at the St. Stephen store. Many women in our community
who have been diagnosed with cancer and struggling with the unexpected expenses will be assisted with these funds.
Charlotte County Cancer helps with medical expenses as well as travel costs to and
from their treatments and regular consultations with their doctor. Many travel to Saint John regularly
with others going as far as Moncton or Halifax. The financial burden
can be huge.    This money has been designated for Women's Health
and will be used for supporting our local women as they get back to health.
